A circular crane — also called a circular EOT or radial travelling crane — runs on a curved rail fixed to the top of a cylindrical structure, such as a storage tank, clarifier, digester, silo or circular pump house, instead of the straight runway beams used by a conventional EOT crane. A single crane can then cover the entire circumference of the vessel from a fixed centre point, which is exactly what petrochemical, water-treatment and process plants need for tank maintenance, desludging and periodic inspection.
Because the girder itself is curved to match the track radius, every ETC circular crane is engineered around your specific structure — ring-beam diameter, rail gauge, wheel base and duty cycle are calculated from your GA drawing before a single plate is cut. Girders are stress-relieved after curving to remove residual fabrication stresses, and all electricals are rated for outdoor tank-farm exposure.

When capacity exceeds roughly 20 Ton, the track diameter is large, or the duty is continuous — the twin box girders give the stiffness and hook height that a single girder cannot provide over long radial spans.
A crab winch unit runs on rails on top of the two girders, giving true vertical lift and full radial travel from the pivot to the outer rail, with creep speed for precise placement.
The pivot bearing carries the inner reaction while the outer end carriage runs on double-flanged forged wheels; drive and guide rollers keep the bridge tracking true against the circular rail through every revolution.

Structures are NDT checked at critical welds and the crane is proof-tested at 125% of Safe Working Load. On site we run a full slewing trial through 360° with the rated load before handover.
