About This Product

Engineered For Indian Industry

The crab is the business end of a double-girder crane — winch, trolley and controls in one rigid frame. ETC crabs arrive as a complete tested unit: winch aligned, wheels gauged to your bridge rails, panel wired, so site work reduces to lifting it onto the rails and connecting power.

True vertical lift reeving (4/2 or 8/2) keeps the hook plumb through the full lift, critical for die handling and precision erection. Twin hoist brakes and duplicated limit switches are available for foundry and critical-lift duty.

Old crab beyond repair?

Share rail gauge, capacity and lift — we build a drop-in replacement crab for any make of crane.

Key Features
  • Fully pre-assembled — drop-on installation
  • True vertical lift — 4/2 & 8/2 reeving
  • Machined drum — maximum rope life
  • Twin brake option — for critical lifts
  • Gauged to your rails — zero site adjustment
  • Replacement crabs — for cranes of any make
Applications

Safety First

Safety Features As Standard

Overload Limiter

Electronic load cell cuts hoisting the moment load exceeds rated SWL.

⬆ Upper/Lower Limit Switches

Rotary geared and counterweight limits stop hook over-travel in both directions.

Motion Warning Hooter

Audible alarm and flasher warn floor staff during LT/CT travel.

Fail-Safe DC Brakes

Electromagnetic brakes engage automatically on power failure — load holds instantly.

Pendant + Radio Remote

IP-65 push-button pendant with optional wireless remote and emergency stop.

Panel Protection

SPP, overload relays and single-phase preventers protect motors and VFDs.

FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask Us

We build crab units from 5 to 200 Ton, with rail gauges from 1.6 to 3.5 metres matched to your bridge. Every unit is designed to IS:3177 / IS:4137 and FEM 1.001 duty classifications, and custom capacities are engineered on request.

Yes, every crab unit is gauged to your specific rail centre distance and wheel-flange profile — share your rail drawing and we'll match it exactly.

In most cases, yes — our team can inspect your bridge girder and wheel track to confirm compatibility before supplying a drop-in replacement crab.

A complete cross-travel trolley: stress-relieved fabricated frame, hoisting winch with machined drum and gearbox, CT drive wheels, hook block, brakes, limit switches and panel — assembled, wired and trial-run before dispatch.

Guide rollers and machined double-flanged wheels keep the crab tracking true on the bridge rails, with end stops and buffers at both rail ends. On longer bridges the CT drive runs through a VFD so starts and stops are gradual, which protects both the rails and the load.

Every unit runs a no-load trial for gearbox backlash, brake response and limit-switch operation, then a load test at 125% of Safe Working Load, witnessed and documented with a stamped certificate.

A fail-safe DC electromagnetic disc brake on the motor is standard. For foundry, molten-metal or other critical duty we fit duplicated braking, so either brake alone can hold the rated load.

Crabs are engineered from 5 to 200 Ton with rail gauges from 1.6 to 3.5 m, matched exactly to your bridge girder centres and the duty classification of the crane it will run on.
