End carriages carry the whole crane — and its load — on four wheels, so wheel quality and alignment decide how long your rails last. Open-type carriages carry wheels on through shafts in plummer blocks — a design every plant fitter already understands, repairable anywhere in India with standard bearings and basic tools.

ETC machines mating faces and jig-drills bolt patterns so girder-to-carriage joints assemble square every time. Wheels are forged EN-8/EN-9 with hardened treads gauged to your rail size, and every carriage ships with rail sweeps, antidrop plates and buffers fitted.

Open Type plummer-block housings are the most field-repairable option and are preferred for heavier-duty or older cranes where components need to be serviced with basic tools on site.

The open frame leaves the wheel and drive fully accessible from outside, which makes inspection, greasing and drive changes faster. It is the economical choice for light and medium duty cranes in accessible bays.

Open type carriages are typically used up to 200 Ton on standard duty classes. For very heavy or continuous three-shift duty, the L-block design is generally the better long-term choice.

Each carriage takes a geared travel motor coupled directly to the wheel shaft. On wider spans both carriages are driven and run on synchronised VFDs so the bridge tracks square along the runway.

Treads are machined to suit CR-series and ISCR rails as well as flat plate runways. Tell us the rail head width and we profile the wheel and flange clearance accordingly.

Carriages are supplied with travel motors, brakes and limit-switch mounts fitted. Complete panel, festoon or DSL current collection can be included on request as a ready-to-install package.
